Jikiden Reiki is a traditional Japanese practice that supports the body’s natural ability to rest and return to balance. Through gentle hands-on care, sessions help calm the nervous system, ease tension, and create space for physical and emotional restoration.
Many people describe feeling deeply relaxed during a session. Others notice emotional release, physical softening, or simply a sense of steadiness returning. Each experience is individual, but the intention is the same: to create space for your body to rest.
Reiki is not about fixing or forcing change. It is about allowing your system to shift naturally when it feels safe to do so.
Reiki sessions are offered at Bodhi Tree Wellness Centre or in the comfort of your home. Each appointment includes time to briefly check in before we begin, and a few minutes afterward to ground, ask questions, and orient before you head back into your day.

About Jikiden Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese word made up of two parts: Rei, meaning “universal,” and Ki, meaning “life force energy.” In traditional Japanese understanding, Reiki refers to the natural energy that flows through all living things — an unseen yet deeply felt presence that supports harmony and the body’s innate ability to heal.
Reiki is not simply a technique, but an experience of returning to balance within oneself.
Jikiden translates to “directly passed down.” It refers to a traditional Japanese lineage of Reiki that has been preserved through careful teacher-to-student transmission, maintaining the original teachings and practices as they were shared in Japan.
This lineage traces back to Chujiro Hayashi, one of the earliest students of Reiki founder Mikao Usui, and has been maintained through Japanese practitioners before being shared more widely.
Jikiden Reiki is known for its simplicity and integrity. Rather than incorporating modern adaptations or additional techniques, it focuses on gentle hands-on treatment and working directly with the body’s areas of need.

If you are feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or simply in need of deeper rest, Reiki offers a gentle space to pause and allow your body to reset.
